Sunday, May 1st. The natural.

Spiderman.jpgYesterday I managed to roll consistently for three hours in an extended paddle position. The last hour I was turning over, laying down astern. Very easy. Today I shall try the screw roll.
Everything turned out so well that I am quite confident that I will able to roll by myself when alone.
I arrived at the swimming pool after driving for two hours and a sleepless night. I was staring like a zombie for the first lesson. Class members had increased to nine. Mostly young but experienced, sea kayakers. The two coaches were very patient and helpful. Very paddler like. Restrained and modest. Everyone of them is a Catalonian. Utmost politeness. They should make this area a natural reserve. Not Bcu though, pschk.
The coach phoned me. He was ecstatic and asked me to bring him a red deck Polipro Squadron from the kayak shop. I shall bring along two carbon paddles for some club friends.

Congratulations, Wenley! I'm glad your rolling class turned out so successfully.

Glad to hear from you again, Mr Sea Level! I am very satisfied with the results. They amount for little else than being able to upright myself most of the times, when I intentionally capsize. Still I need practice to correct a couple of posture mistakes.
By the way, which roll were you taught first?
