Thursday, November 22nd, 2007. Rnli Capsize.

A new advert launched by the Rnli is being broadcasted since last October on selected satellite and cable channels. Written by copywriter Andy Hepburn and art director Jason Fletcher, the filming took place at the Lifeboat College in Poole, Dorset, and was directed by Michael Caton-Jones. The underwater scenes were shot by cameraman Peter Scoones.
The advert features a lifeboat crew out on a late night rescue in stormy seas when the lifeboat capsizes. Only at the end, it becomes apparent that it is a simulated training exercise in the Lifeboat College’s sea survival pool.
The advert highlights the fact that Rnli crews are unpaid volunteers and that training is vital in keeping them safe at sea. The charity provides a high quality training to ensure that their crews are fully equipped for rescues at sea. To train each lifeboat crew member costs  the charity £1,000 every year.
It is widely known but this formidable lifeboat service receives no Government funding, relying entirely on public donations.
My kind of guys. Help bring them home safely.

Thanks for this Wenley. By some fluke of interweb symbyosis I've been thinking about capsizing recently but had missed this video. Must learn how to post these things!

John, Embedding the code in the html screen of your editor is surprisingly easy. Copy and paste.
All that you have to care about is decrease or increase the width of the image - and in an according proportion, the height - to adapt it to the width of your site's template.
A post and photos on the self righting mechanisms would be very welcome.
