Saturday, April 17th, 2009. Rodrigo Leão.
I just returned from a sleepy, slow paddle with friends from the local kayak club. I carried Andrea’s iPod in the H2O Audio case, pressed shuffle and most of what I got was Hanna Montana. Pretty unnerving. To escape boredom I played trying to keep deep edges for miles onward.
Tonight, I am off to a Rodrigo Leão concert with the pharmacist and his new freckled girlfriend.
She smells great.
A swank soirée at the small local theatre enveloped by sad, plush harmonies. The audience howled and clapped as if there was no tomorrow. Ana Vieira is a exceptional singer, the percussionist was a show all by himself, and the cello was superb. Muito bon! It all ended with Celina da Piedade swinging as she played a smart tango in her accordion.

What a show! Leão is amazing. Ana Vieira was impecable, and each member of the band was sober and elegant.
