This long kayak, higher volume expedition boat based on the same hull sections than the Valley Canoe Aquanut, is designed as a coastal touring craft and will appeal to those looking for stable, predictable performance in all conditions. It has slightly less rocker than the Aquanut for a swift and more directionally stable kayak, while retaining the high performance responsiveness and ability to handle rough water conditions. The flared bow gives water displacing buoyancy for a dry ride in big seas, and the extended keel line coupled with a retractable skeg makes for controlled tracking in exposed conditions. The Argonaut has significantly more dry storage space for extended trips, and a slightly higher deck profile in the cockpit to accommodate medium to large paddlers.

A modern Greenland design combines a shallow "V" hull and sufficient rocker to offer good manoeuvrability and excellent directional stability. The 56 cm beam and round soft chines ensure high initial stability and solid secondary stability for confident edged turns. Oval front and rear hatches and round day hatch allow easy loading with sufficient volume for longer trips. A raised foredeck and roomy keyhole cockpit allows easy access with leg and foot comfort.

It is made of heavy duty diolene with a reinforced construction for rouge seas. It is equipped with an outside fiberglass seams and Yakima foot braces.
